Hi,

We've been trying to verify app-ads.txt for weeks now and it's driving me crazy.

We were able to do it for Android by using a third party (app-ads-txt.com) to host the file and we updated the website in the developer console.

iOS we can't get working though. We've tried;
None seem to work! You can see the developer website has been updated on the app store (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/himoon-lgbtq-dating-chat/id1541998518) but google just isn't crawling it.

Any suggestions?? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK support team.

Authorized Sellers for Apps, or app-ads.txt, is an IAB Tech Lab initiative that helps ensure your app ad inventory is only sold through channels you’ve identified as authorized. Creating an app-ads.txt file gives you more control over who’s allowed to sell ads on your app and helps prevent counterfeit inventory from being presented to advertisers. To prevent a significant loss in ad revenue, you'll need to implement an app-ads.txt file. So Set up an app-ads.txt file for your app. While the app-ads.txt file is not strictly required for ads to show, it's still recommended to set it up to ensure optimal ad serving and protection against ad fraud and ensure that it can be crawledWait for AdMob to crawl and verify your app-ads.txt file and be informed that It can take up to 24 hours for AdMob to crawl and verify your app-ads.txt files.

To investigate whether you published your file correctly, check that you successfully see your file's content when you access the app-ads.txt URL in your web browser. If you can see the file in your web browser, it is likely that crawlers will successfully find it. View the details about AdMob's attempts to crawl your app-ads.txt file in your AdMob account.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
