[SOS] Broken Billing Page

Hi,

Just upgraded to new AdMob and tried to set up a new house ad. However it didn't serve ads. Help center says I should activate the billing account first. But the billing page is broken!
"We apologize for the inconvenience - our engineers have been notified of this problem and are working to resolve it. Please try again later."
What the ...

How long has it been there? Will it be fixed soon?

I have also just upgraded, and also could not update the billing details.  After selecting Malaysia as the country,  I'm also seeing the error message:

"We apologize for the inconvenience - our engineers have been notified of this problem and are working to resolve it. Please try again later."


in the Billing  details page.

I hope it will be fixed soon. Has your problem been fixed?

Not yet. Been waiting.. And Admob tech support is nowhere to find. Really unbelievable.

and I am still not able to update billing details - getting the same message about their engineers having been notified.

As of now, it's still not fixed. I wonder what's taking them so long to fix. I also have not got any replies from tech support.

Absolutely amazing that it takes them so long to fix and even worse that support just doesn't reply.

Extremely bad customer support !!!

Hi Eric,

I am still unable to view or update billing details, even though cleared cache and cookies, using different browsers,
Chrome and Safari and tried it several times a day, many times since June 13 - when I upgraded to the new Admob.

I attach here 3 screen shots of a step-by-step on how to reproduce the error. Please take a 
look at the attachments.

Login to apps.admob.com,

Step 1, click on the Update billing details link on the home page.
Step 2, in the Billings Setup page, click on the Malaysia country from the list box.
Step 3, Then click continue

then you will get this message:

"We apologize for the inconvenience - our engineers have been notified of 
this problem and are working to resolve it. Please try again later." 

Hope you can fix the problem, I need to run house ads.

This morning, I got a reply from support, which did not resolve the issue:

Hi Annie,
Thank you for contacting us.
I just checked your account and was able to view your billing information page without issue. I hope this means the issue was temporary, and is also working now for you. If not, could you please try clearing your cache and cookies, and trying again?
If that still doesn't solve the issue, please let me know what else I might try to replicate the issue on my machine.
Regarding your billing address, as long as the address currently listed in your account is correct (I've copied it below for your reference) you do not need to further update it.

I'm still having the issue for 5 days now too, I can't update my billing details so I can't monetize any app.
I tried all my browsers (safari, chrome, firefox) with clean cache and cookies.
I tried creating a new AdMob account and I still get the same error message.

Hey folk, just managed to fix the billing setup issue. But this wouldn't necessarily fix the campaign issue after billing because I've already set up billing account for a few hours but still no impressions so far.

Just go to Adwords, log in with your Admob account and finish billing setup over there. They share the same billing info backend.

Everyone please have a try and let us know if it is the solution for you!

Chi and Zapata,

Are your house ad campaigns working?  I have not tried the fix using Adwords, yet. One way you can know if it works is to check your mediation settings for the ad units. See the attachment to this post. If you are seeing the "caution" symbol it means mediation is failing - and all your campaigns will also fail.  To check the mediation, click on Promote tab, then click your House Ad, then the Ad Units attached to that House Ad.

Sorry I don't have house ads, only paid ads. And it looks like the ads are working, as the figures are increasing (20k impressions since my last message)

I am ashamed to ask, but is this "Billing" page all about advertising your application, or it is about publishing ad? You pay money for ad, or you get paid?
This like "Campaigns" https://www.admob.com/campaigns/ from old adMob, or like "Payment Details" https://www.admob.com/my_account/payment_details?

Hi Andrey,

From my understanding, Billing details is where you provide your details eg, credit card info so that google can bill you when you advertise your apps.  And, Payment details is where you provide your details, eg, bank ac number so that google can pay you when your app contain ads. However, note that, Billing details is also necessary even if you run House ads (which is free) - i.e. when you advertise your app using your other apps.
