I've created a demo project to learn Google AdMob integration in an iOS Swift app. I set up my AdMob account and configured the ad ID correctly. After implementing the test ID, I tested the code, and it worked fine. However, when I replaced the test ID with the real ad ID and ran the project, I encountered an issue.

Even though I implemented the test device ID and used the real ad ID, the ads are showing in the banner, but the "Test Mode" text is also appearing in the banner.

What should I do to resolve this issue? I haven't been able to find a solution.

Hi,

"Test Mode" label will appears only on test Ads. Simulators are automatically configured as test devices. If you want to do more rigorous testing with production-looking ads, you can now configure your device as a test device and use your own ad unit IDs that you've created in the AdMob UI. For more information refer to Enable Test Device.

If you are facing same issue in physical device also, kindly share below details via "Reply to author" option for further investigation:
  • app ID
  • ad unit ID
  • Mobile Ads SDK version.
