Hi. All,
I have got simple implementation, I don't want to ask users to show any personalised Ads.

i.e neither ask for ATT nor for UMP as my target is to just show ads as they serve and not access any personalised information even I think it will result in less money from Admob.

in this case Am I still needed to go for UMP and ATT in my Apps?

Regards,

Hi Aftab,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK Support team.

As mentioned on the documentation, the default behavior of the Google Mobile Ads SDK is to serve personalized ads. If a user has consented to receive only non-personalized ads, you can configure an AdRequest object with the following code to specify that only non-personalized ads should be requested.

If your goal is to show non-personalized ads without accessing personalized information and you're not concerned about potential revenue loss from AdMob, you may not be required to implement UMP (User Messaging Platform) or ATT (App Tracking Transparency).

thanks a lot
can you please confirm following statment that you mentioned from "May" to "Not required" and if may what would be that?

"If your goal is to show non-personalized ads without accessing personalized information and you're not concerned about potential revenue loss from AdMob, you may not be required to implement UMP (User Messaging Platform) or ATT (App Tracking Transparency)."

and also let me know how much difference on average it can make between personal and non-personal is there e.g 100/40?

Thanks

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

By reviewing your concern, I understand that you are implementing non personalized ads. Non-personalized ads are ads that are not based on a user’s past behavior.

Although non-personalized ads don’t use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for ad targeting, they do still use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting, and to combat fraud and abuse. Therefore, you must obtain consent to use cookies or mobile ad identifiers for those purposes where legally required, such as in certain countries in the European Economic Area (EEA) per the ePrivacy Directive.

I would recommend you to follow this link for more information.

Hello. I've written about it before. But I didn't get an answer. My applications are only applications for children. I use non-personalized ads.
I'm integrating the SDK into my application. If I write the code like this
     val params = ConsentRequestParameters
         .Builder()
         .setTagForUnderAgeOfConsent(false)
         .build()

My application is rejected.

     val params = ConsentRequestParameters
         .Builder()
         .setTagForUnderAgeOfConsent(true)
         .build()

If I set it, the message will not be shown this time either.

What should I do now? You mentioned cookies permission above. Will those serving "non-personalized ads" only ask for cookie permission?

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

With regard to your concern, please note that as per Publisher integration with the IAB TCF v2.0, publishers should not call Google’s ad tags if consent is missing and due to lack of access information on a device Google will drop the ad request and no ads will be served.

For more information, I would recommend reaching out to the Product Support Team as they are better equipped to address your concern.
