Hello,
I'm planning to launch an app for Android TV. I want to use both ads and in app purchases and I was
wondering whether we are allowed to use Admob Ads for Android TV, I read somewhere that Android TV
is not officially supported. So I don't want to risk my account.
Can anyone from Admob Team please respond on this matter?

PS: Yes, I know that smart ads appear on the TV, but that doesn't confirm if Admob supports it officially or not.

Hi Ryan,
Android TV isn't officially supported, and I can't speak to potential roadmaps. If you do decide to go ahead with it, just keep in mind these caveats.

Thanks for your reply. I have already done as much research as possible on this matter. I'm trying to avoid
my account getting banned, because I have worked really hard on my apps. I read that sometime in 2012
many accounts were banned because they user Adsense and not Admob in their apps or something similiar.
That's what I'm trying to avoid. As per apps, I think I'll put just interestitial (video ads, if I can specity video ads when creating the ad unit).
So am I allowed to put interstitial ads (possibly video) on an Android TV?
It's fine to use it or it's forbidden?
I have had my admob account for 2 years now, without a single violation, and I'd like to keep it that way.

Hi Ryan,
While the SDK doesn't officially support use cases that rely on Android TV, the question of whether you would get banned for pursuing such implementations might borderline on policy. For this reason, I'd recommend speaking with our product support folks to get a better understanding of the expectations that lie ahead. You may reach the product support team by filling this form.
