Since ios 18.2, my banner ads start out blank. If I close the app and reopen it, the ad is visible. This is only happening on ios 18.2 and with my ad unit. This is not happening with google test ad unit

I have the same problem.
I confirmed this problem on iOS 18.2.1.

Perhaps, I think this problem occurs with certain ads.

Thanks Nicolas for highlighting that it has to be iOS 18.2.
No wonder sometimes I can reproduce repetitively on some devices and sometimes I can never reproduce this issue on another device.
This is because I have been observing the issue on devices/simulators that is running iOS18.2.
Hopefully Google Admob SDK team solve this asap.

Update: This issue has been reopened. It has been diagnosed as a creative-specific problem and there is ongoing investigation on how to fix it at scale since the problem involves 3rd party creatives.

Hi guys, 

It has been half a year, any update on this issue? Is it fully resolved? 

My observation is this: 

- Admob banner goes fully blank from time to time in iOS18.2 in January 2025.
- Google fixed this, fully blank no longer appears
- But large inline adaptive ads still getting misaligned with unexpected scrolling regions from time to time. 
- Reducing the size of inline adaptive banner from edge to edge to Medium Rectangle appears to "fix" the problem
- I have been using Medium Rectangle last few months - however, eCPM reduced, revenue reduced.
- Now I want to reconsider switching back to inline adaptive banner, hoping that the lastest admob SDK or latest iOS version has solved this.

- However as of today, 27 JUN 2025, when testing latest iOS18.5 on latest Google-Mobile-Ads-SDK (12.6.0), I can still reproduced misaligned / scrollable ad from time to time. 

- These ads may appear cropped, as they are larger than the given space, and then the ad will be unexpectedly scrollable, may times scrollable to a empty space. (Screenshots below)
- As per usual, it is extremely hard to reproduce, as only some specific ad creatives will have this problem. 

Is this common? I can't seem to find any discussions about this.
