Hello,

I use anchored adaptive banners in my Android apps. I would like to ask if setting "setDescendantFocusability(ViewGroup.FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS)" for the "AdView" element may have any side effects (e.g. clicks)?

I ask because from what I've read setting " setDescendantFocusability(ViewGroup.FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS) " fixes a bug (IllegalArgumentException: parameter must be a descendant of this view) that happens with some ads.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Hello Christopher,

Thank you for reaching out.

Upon investigation of our documents and cases, there appears to be no side effects in using "setDescendantFocusability(ViewGroup.FOCUS_BLOCK_DESCENDANTS)" with regards to clicks. Here is our guide for Anchored adaptive banners if you wish to learn more. You can also use our sample app for reference.
