Hi,

I am facing an issue while showing Banner and Interstitial. This is happening with only one device Samsung Galaxy S9, API Level 26 which I use for testing application.
I have also added code for testing AdRequest.Builder.addTestDevice("F9210FBA56AD70EA5838F36FFAE239AE"), but still it not working.
I am getting error callback with error value/code 0 and SDK logs are saying 'Ad failed to load : 0'.

Could you please help me to resolve this issue.

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,

Can you please share your Ad unit Id using "Reply Privately to Author" option so that we can test it on our end as well? Experiencing this Error Code 0  means that your ad unit IDs are sending invalid requests to the AdMob server; this can be a result of various factors, such as incorrect ad unit ID usage in code or issues with your AdMob account. Can you confirm us whether you are able to load ads with your Ad unit Id using our sample apps ?

Hi Deepika,
Thanks for the update.

I am using sample ad units in my application i.e for Banner "/6499/example/banner" and for interstitial "/6499/example/interstitial".
I have also clone the sample app repo and installed it app in the mentioned device(Samsung Galaxy S9, API Level 26), still it is giving the same error. For other device's with same API level it is working fine.
FYI i am using Google Mobile Ads SDK.

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,

I have tested our sample Ad unit Ids with devices with API level 26 and also on Samsung Galaxy S9, API Level 26 as well and I don't see any issues on our end. This sounds like a device specific issue. Can you make sure that you don't have any Ad Blocker or custom ROM installed on the device where the Ads failed to load? Also, could you confirm if that device is connected in the same network when you were testing? If not, you may also check if there are any Ad Filter/Blocker in the network your device is connected where the Ads failed to load.

Hi Dipika,

The device does not have any Ad Blocker or custom ROM installed. Even I have tested this scenario by changing devices network. but still there is no success loading the ad. One more thing, earlier i was able to see the ads on the same device.

Is there any policy in Google Mobile Ad SDK server to block specific device?  if yes then could you please unblock the device.

Thanks,
Vishal

Hi Vishal,

Thanks for checking the settings on your device. This sounds like the issue with the device and there is no such thing of blocking the Ad serving for a specific device. If your Ad unit Ids are working normally on other devices, then there should not be any issues for your users. If you want to get any clarification on serving related issues like these, I would suggest that you contact our AdMob Product Support Team and they will be able to assist you. You can reachout to them via  AdMob Help Center, or consult with our troubleshooter, for further assistance.
