Hello Karan,

Thanks for bumping the thread.

We are currently looking into the issue you encountered.

I have a few follow-up questions:

Did you encounter the ANRs only in v24.3.0? Have you tested with previous versions to see if that removes or alleviates the issue?
Did you encounter the ANRs only on the Samsung Galaxy M21 device? Since our team wasn't able to reproduce the issue with a Google Pixel 6A and an Emulator Pixel 9 Pro, can you provide a list of devices that are impacted?
Did turning on/off strict mode on your end make a difference?
Did the issue happen only with banner ads?

Thank you!

Thanks,

Joshua

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

We have followed all the procedures in the Help Center article and have
double-checked everything carefully. However, AdMob is still unable to
verify our app-ads.txt file.

Specifically:

The app "Cooking Clash" (com.tychemobile.cookingclash) is already published
on Google Play.

The developer website on Google Play is correctly set to:
https://cookclash.com

The app-ads.txt file is accessible at: https://cookclash.com/app-ads.txt.
Please see the attached screenshot showing the file access and current
status.
We confirmed that this URL returns HTTP 200 OK, even when using a Googlebot
User-Agent.

The file content follows the official format and has already passed
validation on other ad platforms.

In the AdMob console, the message we receive is:
"We are unable to verify 'Cooking Clash' (Android). You’ve successfully
updated your store information, but we can’t finish verifying your app."
This suggests AdMob is able to find and read the app-ads.txt file, but
still cannot complete verification.

Could you kindly escalate this issue for further review or help us resolve
this mismatch?
We would appreciate your assistance in completing the verification process.

Best regards,
Zhang Min

Hi Zhang Min,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Kindly note that it can take up to 24 hours for AdMob to crawl and verify your app-ads.txt files. You need to wait at least 24 hours for the app-ads.txt status to update.

If you've recently added your developer website or updated your app listing in Google Play, allow up to 24 hours for AdMob to detect these changes.

Kindly refer to the help center article to Set up an app-ads.txt file for your app and Resolve issues with app-ads.txt.

The app is in "Requires review" state. This indicates that your app has not yet been subject to the review process. To have it reviewed, it is necessary to establish a link between your app and the supported app store. You can link a supported store to your app within the All Apps or App settings pages and subsequently submit it for review. For more information, you can visit Requires review.

If the issue still persists then the best way to get more information about your issue is the AdMob Help Center. You can also utilize the AdMob Communities for additional support.

Thanks,

Mobile Ads SDK Team

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

I’d like to clarify that our Google Play store listing for “Cooking Clash”
(package name: com.tychemobile.cookingclash) has already been updated
several months ago with the correct developer website:

https://cookclash.com

The app-ads.txt file has been properly configured and is publicly
accessible at:

https://cookclash.com/app-ads.txt

We have confirmed that the file:

Returns HTTP 200 OK

Contains valid entries in the correct format

Is crawlable using the Googlebot User-Agent

Has already been successfully verified by other ad networks

However, AdMob still shows the following message:

"We are unable to verify 'Cooking Clash' (Android). You’ve successfully
updated your store information, but we can’t finish verifying your app."

This message has remained unchanged for a long time — well beyond the
24-hour detection window mentioned in the Help Center.

Because of this verification failure, we are unable to proceed to the
“Requires review” stage in AdMob and cannot submit the app for review.

Please help investigate this issue, as everything appears to be configured
correctly on our end, and the issue is preventing us from completing the
app onboarding and monetization process.

Looking forward to your assistance in resolving this.

Best regards,
Zhang Min

We understand that custom search ads are removed in V12. However, it looks
like V11 is still supported at the moment. Why was the plug pulled for V11
as well? We didn't receive any notifications for this and lost a
significant amount of revenue.

Hi Flex,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Please note that the Adsense custom search ads no longer supports mobile applications, irrespective of your integration version. The method "GADDynamicHeightSearchRequest()" has been removed across all SDK versions without a replacement.

Should you have any inquiries regarding the Google Mobile Ads SDK implementation and technical issues, please do not hesitate to contact us.
