The new estimated fix date is now later than Google Play's deadline of August 31 for targeting Android 15. This means I will be restricted from updating my apps if I keep waiting for the fixed SDK before targeting Android 15. Considering how many times the estimated date has changed, I can't be confident that it will actually be available in early September either.

There seems to be quite a few different workarounds proposed by other developers for this issue. Are you able to find out from your team what the Google-recommended workaround is, now that Google is going to miss its own deadline for Android 15 targeting? It seems I don't have much of a choice but to use a workaround, other than being restricted from updating or by releasing app updates which will break the ability to close interstitials.
