Hello,

Yesterday Apple updated the App review guidelines which now say:
"Ads displayed in an app must be appropriate for the app’s age rating, allow the user to see all information used to target them for that ad (without requiring the user to leave the app)" (https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=xk8d7p8c)

As far as I can see currently the AdMob iOS SDK does not comply with this new guideline that Apple introduced yesterday as the user can not see the information that was used for targeting without leaving the app.

Will Google soon offer an update that allows users to see all information used to target them without leaving the app? Otherwise I'm afraid that Apple will reject apps that use AdMob.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

With regard to your concern, our team make sure that the Mobile Ads SDK complies to the guidelines released by Apple and/or Android. With that in mind, I'll be flagging this to the team as a feature request. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on our release notes or blog for future updates regarding this.

Hi Martin,

I hope you're safe and doing fine.

I just got a confirmation from the team that the SDK is covered to the Apple's new guidelines and there should be no issue when you upload your app that uses our SDK in AppStore.
