Is there anyway to check which Admob build you are using, from the published version of the app?

I have a few old apps on the iOS app store that are bringing in revenue.  I suspect they have an old build (6.41 or below) that will be depreciated.

Is there anyway to verify this?

I can no longer compile the source code, and I did not put a copy of the Build in the Resource folder (which I should have done)

In short, is there anyway to figure out what Admob version I am using with only the iOS published app Store and my current active Admob account

Thanks.  ANDY

Hi Andy,

You would be able to determine this if you use use tools such as Charles proxy. Open your published app, proxy your device using Charles, enabled SSL proxying and when the app does an AdRequest, you would be able to know the SDK version. However, I would not be able to specify where you can look for this.

Thanks for the reply.  Yeah that worked.  Bad news for me.  Old version.  And the chess app is in cocos2d 1.1 and objective C.   Well I guess its time for a total rewrite in Swift.

Hi Veer,

From Xcode, I can see my iOS apps is using version 6.12.2 of the SDK.

<Warning>: <Google:HTML> You are currently using version 6.12.2 of the SDK. Please consider updating your SDK to the most recent SDK version to get the latest features and bug fixes. The latest SDK can be downloaded from http://goo.gl/iGzfsP. A full list of release notes is available at https://developers.google.com/admob/ios/rel-notes.

Based on the recent email i got from Google and here is the excerpt: "...we are deprecating versions 6.4.1 and lower of the Android Google Mobile Ads SDK on September 15th, 2016. In order to ensure that your ads continue to serve after September 15th, 2016, please upgrade to Google Mobile Ads SDK 7.0.0 or higher."

Does it mean that in this exercise, none of my iOS apps are affected and they will continue to serve ads after Sept 15th?

Hi Swipea,

That is for Android SDK and not for the iOS ones and none of your iOS apps will be affected. While you do not need to upgrade I would highly recommend that you do since v6.4.1 came more than 3 years ago!

Thanks,
