Hello, is any other way beside logging into my ad mob dashboard that I can find my application identifier? Is there something I can log to the console while running the app?

Thanks

Hi Michael,

We have no method in our SDK to print out the app Id in console, yet the app Id is recorded at beginning of each session in console. You may also want to try Bundle.main.infoDictionary to show the app Id in console.

Is there a business need to have an SDK method to reveal the app Id? If so, could you explain the use case?

I'm not seeing it in the app bundle or in the console. The problem is that the SDK is old and I'm having trouble logging into the dashboard. It looks like the ID (or way of identifying my app) was in a different format two and a half years ago. I'm not seeing the "ca-app-pub" format anywhere.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for responding back. I work along with Aryeh and will be helping you today with this issue. You can also find this within the app itself. The question is have you opened it in whatever IDE you built it in to find it? If you are just running the app? Then there is no way to find it without opening the apps codebase.

Yes I have access to the app's codebase and run it with my Xcode IDE.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for responding back. Thats great, so if you look into your info.plist you should see it in there. You know what the general value looks like so it should like that . If you need some help deciphering which one it might be. Here are links to the AdMod and AdManager iOS guides that show where it will be.

If any questions or concerns you can just send over a copy of the above mentioned plist.

Thanks guys but putting that ID into info.plist only became a requirement as of version 7.42.0 and I'm on an older version, so it seems like the app and Google's server used some different ID or API to communicate. If you know what that protocol was then that'd be great but if not then thanks for your help regardless.   - Mike

Hi Michael,

Thank you for your response. I believe the API being used previously to configure application ID is configureWithApplicationID which is now deprecated. Please note that we may not be able to give support to any issues that you will encounter related to deprecated APIs. That being said, we do recommend using the latest version of the SDK to keep any issues pertaining to the old SDK versions from happening.
