Hello,

We recently integrated Google UMP in our app to manage players consent. We added an "European regulations" popup with targeting set to "Countries subject to GDPR (EEA, UK, and Switzerland)". We're testing with VPN (Express VPN) but we have an issue. The popup is not displayed in some European countries.

Here is a list of the countries that we checked

France - not displayed
Germany - displayed
Spain -  displayed
Netherlands -  not displayed
Sweden -  displayed
UK - displayed

Is there a way we can make sure that the popup will be displayed in all the eligible countries?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting Google Mobile Ads SDK support team.

After looking at your issue, it looks like the UMP popup is not displaying because of Express VPN. I ran the Banner Sample application without making use of VPN and the pop up is being displayed as expected for the EEA, UK, and Switzerland. We do not have access or visibility into how it interacts with the GMA SDK. I would suggest reaching out to the Express VPN support team as they should be better equipped to address your concern. Please note that we can only assist on technical queries/concerns related to Google Mobile Ads SDK.

Hi,
Thank you for checking. Is any other way we can make sure that the popup will be displayed in all regions other than VPN in this case? or we can just try a different  VPN?

Hi,

As mentioned earlier we do not have access or visibility into how VPN interacts with the GMA SDK. So the only way to make sure that the popup will be displayed in all regions is to not use VPN because we ran the Google sample project without using a VPN, and the consent pop-up is displayed as expected for mentioned countries ( EEA, UK, and Switzerland).  we cannot guarantee the behavior even trying with another VPN.
