The admob earnings sunk and remain low despite I gain users.
In the stats seems that every time the fill rate increases the eCPM drop and when eCPM increases to non-ridiculous values ...BOOM the fill rate vanish, these fluctuations seem to have a pattern that is repeated every month, so the earning are kept always low regardless the user traffic.
Our earnings were around 20-30 times these ridiculous values we are getting since the past year or so and we always respected all guidelines and best practices. One day earning suddenly sunk in this monthly super low ecpm or super low fill rate loop, with no recover.
To further confirm the anomaly we started a promotional campaign in the same areas of our users, the cost/ROI I pay wasn't anything cheap or lower than the old times when Admob earning were high, as it should be if simply advertising market were really so crazy lower compared to the past.
Seems a lot (if not all) small developers are experiencing something similar, after a while as if there is some shady algorithm to keep the earning low, according various surveys I'm doing in many communities (and those outside the US seems are the most heavily affected).
I don't know what is going on if there is some strategy to push developers towards other monetization systems like subscriptions as in new Apple direction, or whatever else.
Certainly, all this isn't normal and persists since too much time to be considered just something transitory (around the same time Google started the Google Play Pass bulk subscriptions... just a coincidence??). This is no more sustainable.
Hi Andrea,
Thank you for reaching out to the Mobile Ads SDK Support Team.
I understand that you're concerned with how your ads are earning and are inquiring for a strategy to push developers towards other monetization systems, but I'm afraid that this is already outside our scope of support as we can only provide technical assistance to Mobile Ads SDK related issues. We would advise you instead reach out to the AdMob Product Support Team <https://support.google.com/admob/thread/new?hl=en> for further assistance on this as they are better equipped in handling these types of concerns.
In the event that you'd have any clarifications regarding the Mobile Ads SDK, then you may always get back to us and we'd be happy to provide our assistance.
