Hi Norman,
Thank you for getting with us.
Regarding the interstitial ad close button, I will check with our team and one of my team members will reach out to you once we have an update on this.
Please find the below responses for your queries:
1. When we request fixed sized Ads, how much can we scale it up and down? Or it is not allowed?
Ans: When you request fixed-size ads (like 320x50 or 320x100), it is not allowed to scale up or down. Because The size of the container in which you place your ad must be at least as big as the banner. Any padding effectively decreases the size of your container.
2. dDo Applovin and other ad networks support adaptive ads like Admob (GADCurrentOrientationAnchoredAdaptiveBannerAdSizeWithWidth(screenWidth))
Ans: Yes, AdMob supports the adaptive banner ads. But the AppLovin and other networks does not support. If you change the size for the AppLovin then it will give the 101 error.
3. if we request smaller ad size 320x50 but scale it up, will it be blurry and reduce quality and so reduce revenue
Ans: Yes, if you take the smaller ad size 320x50 and scale it up then it will be blurry an reduce the quality.
4. if we request larger ad 320x100 but scale it down, how the revenue will be affected.
Ans: We cannot provide definitive answer on revenue part. It’s better to use the correct ad size for the device rather than scaling up and down the size of the ad.
5. What is the best approach to choose banner ad size as we have different sized devices? AdMob support 320x100, but others like applovin, inmobi only support 320x50. This affects revenue.
Ans: You can check this Fixed size documentation to understand the size of the ad that support by the device.
For more information, kindly refer to the Banner ad guidance, Implementation guidance and Recommended banner implementations.
6. Also could use guidance on caching ads. Do we need to cache banner ads for slow connection or does admob do that? Do we need to cache interstitial ads?
Ans: You can use ad load calls to build up a cache of preloaded ads before you intend to show them, so that ads can be shown with zero latency when needed. Since ads expire after an hour, you should clear this cache and reload with new ads every hour.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Hi Norman,
Thank you for getting back to us.
Currently there is no update at this time. Once we receive any updates, we will intimate you. Meanwhile, your patience is important.
