Close button of interstitial ads blocked on iPhone X

Hi,

Some of the interstitial ads are not rendered right on iPhone X, the close button is blocked.

Using Google-Mobile-Ads-SDK (7.27.0)

Is there a fix coming soon?

Thank you for contacting us. The iOS v7.26.0 has a fix where the full screen ads now renders the close button within the safe area. It is recommended that you implement the Interstitial ads within the safe area to avoid being obscured by rounded corners. You may refer to this guide on how to implement ads within the safe area. If you continue to have an issue with this, please provide us a sample project of your implementation, so I can take a look. Please use Reply privately to author option to share the details.

im having same issue with 7.27 on iphone-x - it is ok on other devices.

is there a fix for this?

ive tried 7.28 sdk but that stuffs up Game Center notifications (they get shifted to the left) as some other posts have pointed out.

Hello, 

As for the Interstitial ads close button, our team got back to us with an update. It looks like this is an ad serving issue and not an issue specific to the SDK. If you're displaying a third party ad, the custom close button is hiding the SDK close button. We are still investigating the issue on how to resolve this issue for 3p ads. I will keep you posted if I have any new information from the team.

This issue is persistent on many adformats on iPhone X. Am encountering many local business ads pointing to Google Maps, where it is impossible to escape. 

Same goes for the AdChoices page (clickable in every GDN/AdMob ad), if you click there from the ad, there is no way to close it except to swipe up and exit the whole app (game)
