Close button is greyed out in Rewarded ads

Hi Team,

I'm facing this annoying issue where Close button is greyed out in Rewarded ads and cannot be closed after 5 seconds, this is causing my app to get rejected in Google App reviews with a comment: 

• Ads that interfere with normal app use that are not closeable after 5 seconds. 
  

This is causing us to postpone the planned release of the app and causing severe impact to our production.


I'm using the default admob network and not using any mediation. Please provide a solution. I'm using Google mobile ads version 7.1.0. Unity version: 2020.3.26f1.

For us to further investigate this, can you provide us with your charles log capturing this behavior? You can provide the following details via Reply privately to author option or directly provide it to the link below. This will enable us to replicate the behavior in our test app environment (by trafficking the creative in our test network). The network traffic should contain either of the following:
AdMob request URL - https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/mads/gma
Ad Manager request URL - https://pubads.g.doubleclick.net/gampad/ads
