Since I've implemented SDK 7.25.0 in late October my impressions have decreased by 10x.

I receive a first ad impression on application launch,  but no ads afterwards.   When I first integrated Admob I was getting ad refreshes by monitoring (adViewDidReceiveAd:(GADBannerView *)bannerView).

I do not see any ad refreshes now.   I've also tried the admob bannerexample sample code and do not see any ad refreshes after adding the delegate methods.   Can admob provide a bannerexample that does ad refreshes every 30 seconds for testing?

Thanks

Hi there,

I was able to notice ad being refreshed automatically by the SDK using our sample apps. Can you retest using our sample apps and our test Ad Unit IDs and let us know? If you are unable to reproduce, then send us your Ad Unit ID and we will have a look. You can send your Ad unit Id by using "Reply to author privately option".

Hi there,

I was able to notice that the ad was being refreshed every 30 seconds with your Ad Unit ID and our banner sample apps. Can you see if changing the device works? Did you receive any error with any of the AdRequests? Can you please check the callbacks for Banner AdView and send us device logs to investigate further?

Were you able to get ad refreshes running in a simulator?  if so which one did you test?

I just ran it on iPhone 6s - iOS 11 simulator,   I get one ad (adViewDidReceiveAd) on launch then no other refreshes.

I do see a debug message after the ad is received....

INFO: fetch-response is unable to open the file /Users/  (I will share detailed log)

If I can get the your sample app doing ad refreshes,  then possibly I can figure out why my app is not getting ad refreshes.

Thanks

Hi there,

I'm still unable to reproduce this. Are you requesting test ads to see if SDK makes automatic ad requests? Note that you test with live ads for this and I'm still able to load live ads with auto refresh requesting ads every 30 seconds using your Ad Unit ID.

Hi Deepika,   when I use your bannerExample sample app with my Ad Unit ID and my Application ID,  I'm getting ad retries in the debug window.   I will send you the sample that I ran to get this errors,  can you confirm you are see the same?

Could it be an issue with my Admob account.   I would expect to still see my unlimited house ads to be served.

Thanks

Hi there,

Can you please confirm whether you have properly setup your eCPM value for your Ad Unit iD? The no response might be because of a low eCPM value for your house ads and I would suggest that you increase it to a high value to make sure that your house ads win the auction and they are served. You can read more about eCPM value for your Ad Unit ID here

Hi Deepika,   the eCPM values I setup for my Ad Unit ID were setup over a year ago and have been working fine.    My concern in the last two weeks or more is that my impressions dropped to less than 10% of what I've been seeing for a long time.    Suddenly (as of ~ Nov 10th) the impression are now back to normal levels.    I can't explain why,  were there any Admob outages or issues during this period?

Thanks

Hi there,

Thanks for getting back to us. It might be an Ad serving related issue. Any Ad performance or account related queries are out of scope for our team. If you still have any account related concerns, I would suggest that you contact our AdMob Product Support team for further assistance.
