After registering webview with admob, Google Adsense is not showing on iOS (WKWebView)

I'm using flutter to create webviews.

Flutter & Plugin version

• Flutter: 3.29.0
• google_mobile_ads: 5.3.1

Running the code below will prevent Google Adsense ads from being displayed
​await MobileAds.instance.registerWebView(_controller);


But, Disabling the code below will make the ads look normal
// ​await MobileAds.instance.registerWebView(_controller);

I've updated flutter to the latest version of stable channel and also updated google_mobile_ads to the most recent version, but I still have the same issue

This only happens on ios, not on android
What could be the reason and how to solve it?
