Hello every one.

As the topic name says it, is it ok if I use the same Publisher ID in several apps? For example I have a serie of audio-books apps (20+) and it is a hassle to create a new Publisher ID for each plus I do want to keep a fast track of the revenue from all audio-books.
I searched about this question and couldn't find anything about it any where.

I hope you can help me.
Thanx in advance.

Hello Arshad,

I don't think using the same pub id for multiple apps is not against the terms, but is recommended so that you can get more fine grained reporting on how each of your apps is doing individually.

You said "I don't think ... is not against the terms..." So, it ?is? against the terms?  It looks like that may have been an editing mistake based on the second part of the sentence.  Sorry, just wanted to be sure I understood correctly.

Oops, my mistake!  I'm fairly certain that using the same pub id in multiple apps is fine with AdMob.  However, I think the benefits of reporting on individual applications outweighs the cost of having to create multiple pub ids.  And this may not be relevant - but Google won't contact publishers to whitelist them for interstitials if they use their id across multiple apps.

Eric,
AdMob Team

Hello Eric

Thanks for the answer, that did took pressures from me now.
For the moment I am not that interested in each audio books performance so to save time for me I chose to use same Publisher ID across all the audio books.
Also, sorry for the late replay, I didn't got any notification from this forums.

Hey Arshad,

I understand for your scenario it may not scale as well to create that many publisher ids for apps that are very similar.  But in general, for developers with a smaller amount of different types of apps, the best practice is to make one site id per app.

Cheers,
Eric, AdMob Team

Yes, you can have more than one publisher ID per app.

Cheers,
Eric

Hi Eric,

what about linking an ad to the app - is it necessary? I want to publish one of my apps on Amazon Appstore only (it's a paid app and I can't sell it on GP yet), but I won't be able to link the ad ID with the app. Won't this cause any problems?

Thanks,
Henrik

Hi Henrik,

You are not required to link the app in the AdMob UI to start earning revenue on your ad units. It is recommended that you do link it later though, once you publish on Google Play.

Thanks,
Eric

Hi Eric,

thanks for replying. I'm from a "unsupported" country so I'm not sure when/if I'll be able to put the app on GP as a paid app. However, I also plan to publish the app on Samsung's and Opera's Appstores. Is this also OK?

Thanks and kind regards,
Henrik

Hi Henrik,

The particular app store doesn't matter.

Thanks,

Hi! Admob has recently upgraded to new version. Can we do the same in this new version also? I mean using one Unit ID for several apps?

Hi Sonic,

You're still *allowed* to do this, but we recommend against it, and if you link an app then house ads might not work. We recommend creating a different Ad Unit ID for every placement you have (which means you'll probably have multiple per app).

Hope this helps!

hi, Amy

is it true that request rpm depends on impressions, let say on 20k impresion - 0.2(or less) request rpm /or/ 50k impression - 0.5+ request rpm?

i got 0.08 mostly one of my app, it generally gets 10-20k impressions daily

Hi, this is now allowed, I was told that by my AdMob Account Manager. Use just one AdMob ID and then split the refenue with your friend. It's how I do it as well.
