That's a great question. I have not seen anything that multiple ID for
a single app violate policy, but based on this tip:
Register different apps or sites separately and use different
developer and publisher IDs. Using one developer or publisher ID
across multiple apps or sites limits our ability to optimize
performance.
from the "tips" page, I assume that mutliple ID's could actually
improve app performance, if you have reason to believe different
filters or ad categories could impact performance within the app
itself (I'm thinking of a reference type app that has an entertainment
section and maybe a tools section - you would want different ads for
the different types of user interaction).
Their tip seems to encourage the use of multiple ID's for tracking and
performance purposes. If there is policy to the contrary, please let
us know. I might start doing the same thing... (I believe different
releases/versions of an app could be considered different apps;
especially because some distribution channels have specific app
requirements, such as Amazon's pricing policy or ESDN's "lite version"
requirements, and distribution channel target markets vary.)
