Hi,
I have an app where ads get loaded at the start. I am supposing that most users are using my app to quick access the advertising id settings in order to reset it. When users return from the advertising settings, an interstitial ad is shown. So if the user clicked on that ad which is linked to the old advertising id (after he had reset the advertising id), how would Admob count that? could that be the main cause why I have most of the clicks counted as invalid clicks?

Hello Nadhir,

James here, a member of the Mobile Ads SDK Team. Thank you for raising your concern to us.

I believe that the invalid traffic is happening when any clicks or impressions that may artificially inflate an advertiser's costs or a publisher's earnings. Invalid traffic covers intentionally fraudulent traffic as well as accidental clicks. You can check here on how you can prevent the invalid traffic.

That being said, we can say that the reset of your advertiser ID has nothing to do with why you’re experiencing invalid clicks on your end. Instead, I recommend that you reach out to the  Product Support Team as the product specialists there can better assist you in this.

Furthermore, you may check our documentation for interstitial on ways to implement it. In addition to that, you may also check this article for recommended interstitial implementation and disallowed implementation.

Regards,
