House ads campaign causes huge ad requests drop

I have a few apps that produce, as a whole, around 1000 - 1400 ad requests each day.

I'm trying to promote a new app with house ads campaigns, but I have the following issue: everytime I start a campaign I notice a huge drop in ad requests.

For example yesterday I had only 222 ad requests, and in "exchange" for this drop I obtained 15 house ad impressions.

I have tried different types of campaigns and I always have this issue.

The campaign I'm using now has a very modest objective of 1000 impressions till the end of the year.

For reasons I don't understand this ad requests drop does not seem to reflect on earnings, thanks to the fact that ctr and rpm raise insanely: yesterday for example I had CTR 10.65% and RPM €6.31, while my average CTR is around 1% and my average RPM is €0.65.

My previous experience tells me that when I delete the campaign stats go back to expected values.

Can someone help me understand?
