android interstitial ads close button not response

Hello,
Lately I've been getting user complaints about interstitial ads. Some say they see the close ad button, but it doesn't close the ads, and some don't even see it at all.
I have received similar complaints in the past, but I thought the problem was solved. This probably causes apps to be uninstalled by users.
I've read here that many developers are reporting the same problem, but I haven't found a solution.

I couldn't restore the problem on my devices/emulators.

SDK version:

com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:22.6.0

Upon looking at the concern, I understand that you've been getting user complaints about interstitial ads that the close button isn’t closing and sometimes the close button is not appearing at all.

I ran the Google Android Interstitial sample application and I can see that the close button is displaying and is working as expected. I ran in SDK version 22.6.0 and the emulator ran on API 34. Can you confirm whether the mentioned issue is reproducible in Google Interstitial sample apps? kindly provide the below privately for further investigation so that we can have full visibility of your implementation:

• app ID
• ad unit ID 
• Any specific device the issue occurs on (If any)
• Sample project reproducing the issue
