automatically close an interstitial ad after it was shown

On android is there a way to automatically close an interstitial ad after it was shown for 5 seconds, I read a lot and the conclusion for me is it's impossible that's frustrating because we can do this in iOS!!

At least we should have the code source open or adding a method to close the ad not wait for the user to close it

Hi Driss,

If you're using AdMob then you won't be able to auto-close the interstitial. If you're using DFP and control the creative, you can use close it at the creative level.

This limitation is a huge problem.  In my app it isn't appropriate for the user to always manually shut down the Interstitial Ads.  This blocks the flow/usability of the app.  I guess I'll have to find an advertising platform with more flexibility.
