Test ads can show but real ads don't

I use admob mediation unity plug 3.9
It works well when I input test device id. but no real ads show when I remove test device id.
And the mediation function works well because it can show unity ads and vungle ads.

I don't know what's wrong with it?
Is it because my game is not live on app store yet?

After I reset advertising identifier, the admob ads do show once, but only once and it doesn't look like video reward, attachment is the screen capturing. Anything wrong with my admob account?

Hi Toby,

Loading of ads should have worked as expected regardless if the app is uploaded in the App Store or not. 

For us to check on our end, could you provide to us privately (using Reply privately to author option) the following information?
  • Ad Unit Id/s in question
  • Complete device logs when loading and displaying ads
  • If possible, Charles logs (here are the setup instructions) captured when the Rewarded Ad (in the screenshot you provided) was loaded and also when there are no Ads being loaded. These information will give us a better look on the issue.

Hi Toby, 

Thank you for providing to us privately the Ad Unit Id in question as well as the device logs, however, the logs provided doesn't seem to contain the output logs from your app when you were trying to load the ads.

That said, I tried testing your Ad Unit Id with our sample app and was able to successfully load Rewarded Video Ads on my end. Could you try the same with the sample app and see if the issue persists on your end?

Being that you were able to load ads at times and consistently display test ads, then the issue is most likely not specific to your code implementation of the Mobile Ads SDK. Could you make sure that you were able to setup the Ad events and capture the output logs from your app so we can see if the Ad requests failed or if there are any errors encountered during those times that ads are not showing?

Also, if you can provide to us the Charles logs (here are the setup instructions) captured when issue was encountered, then this will really give us a better look on the issue.

Hi Ivan,

I used Unity to integrate Admob mediation. Do you have Unity sample app?
Today I sometimes can see the reward video, but only link to website but not appstore.

I can load reward video, the issue is that only some ads link to website but not appstore, normally all ads should link to appstore. And very few ads return, seems that the server don't serve high ecpm ads to me.

Hi Toby,

You may use this sample app to test out integration via Unity. You just need to change the test Rewarded Ad Unit Id for iOS to your Ad Unit Id in the GoogleMobileAdsDemoScript.cs file.

On another note, since you were able to load ads at times, then it is safe to assume that your code implementation is correct. 

Moreover, the SDK can only request for specific Ad formats and targeting information but has no control over the specific Ads that will be returned nor where the users will be redirected. I suggest that you double check with the Product Support Team if you have any doubts about eCPM set or the performance of your Ads as their team can better give you insights on this.

Also, you may refer to the relevant articles below for additional information.

Thank you for your help. I contacted the product support team, and it turn that admob need time to get data and optimise the ecpm. It seems nothing wrong with my sdk integration and setting.

Hi Ivan,
          I am using Interstitial Ad and Banner Ad in my App and I am testing it with real device with real unit id( not test id) Ads are showing in my device but with label text "Test Ad ".

Hi,

Are you setting your device as a test device? If so, please note that it is expected behavior that ads will appear with a "Test Ad" label if you load your live Ad Unit Id on an enabled test device.
