Interstial causes OpenGL context loss

Hello,

We are developing an Android OpenGL game (using MonoGame and Xamarin) and anytime an interstitial is showed, the OpenGL view is suspended, causing an OpenGL context loss and tremendous load times after the interstitial is closed because every textures have to be reloaded by OpenGL. This is a behavior that should be avoided.

Is there a way to show interstitial without losing the OpenGL context and make it to keep running behind the interstitial?

Banner ads are fine as view layout can be used to display the banner above the OpenGLView, but interstitial gives no control on this and seems to start a new activity.

Hints and tips welcomed.

Should be fixed in Xamarin.Android 4.12.x
