Hello,
I am using AdMob Banner test app version 4.5 https://github.com/googleads/googleads-mobile-android-examples/releases and trying to test ad loading using Android devices.
When running adb logcat  I am getting the following error "JS engine could not be obtained. Cancelling ad request" .
Device is proxied through Charles and calls to https://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/mads/static/mad/sdk/native/sdk-core-v40.js are missing. The only requests present are https://screencast.com/t/X1Yhp6s7pf
I tried to clear the app Data, reinstall the app. The steps didn't help, and the error is still present.
Tested with following devices: Samsung S6 Android 6.0.1; SGS7 Android 7.0; Nexus 6 Android 7.1.1

The same app build use to work couple of month ago on Android, but not anymore.

Hi,

Are you consistently having issues loading test Ads via the sample apps in those mentioned devices? Do you get any other error logs aside from the one mentioned?

Could you provide to us the Charles logs captured that contains the logs in the screenshot provided earlier as well as the completed device logs so we can look further into it?

Regards,

Hi,

Thank you for providing to us the device logs and Charles session captured. The Error Code: 0 could mean that something happened internally; for instance, an invalid response was received from the ad server.

Could you reproduce the error using other devices? Is it possible for you to do a factory reset in those affected devices, then reinstall the test app and see if the error persists?

Hi,

Were you able to test it out in other devices aside from the one mentioned? If doing a factory reset in those affected devices is possible, could you try it out and let us know if the error is still reproducible after?

Hi,
After I deleted Google account, and cleared Data from Google Play Store and Google Play services storage, the ad started to load and .js file was loaded as well.
