Hello,

I moving my app to the new admob library com.google.firebase:firebase-ads:20.0.0 and found that using of recommended Adaptive banner could leads to bad user experience, because the new banner takes way more vertical space then SMART_BANNER that used before. Please check attached pictures.

So, as you could see, SMART_BANNER takes way less vertical space and also correctly fill banner to full screen width. As for Adaptive banner, we have not so good results - it fills only part of screen width and takes more vertical space on the phone screen.

For to set the Adaptive banner size, I used code from https://developers.google.com/admob/android/migration and then provided results of the getFullWidthAdaptiveSize() method as parameter for adView.setAdSize(...) method.

Best regards,
Alex.
