Hi there,

Did not find anything related but was told by account manager to post here for help.

I have updated our IronSource SDK to latest (6.9.1.1) for this I needed to update the AdMob adapter (4.3.4). There is now a requirement for AdMob to use AndroidX libraries. It is not easy for us to upgrade to AndroidX because of other libraries we are using. It does state on the IronSource page that

In cases when AdMob ad source is required, but a migration to AndroidX is unwanted, please reach the account manager or contact us

I'm just wondering about this specifically (Can we use the latest AdMob Adapter 4.3.4 without updating to AndroidX?).

But some further information. When I test this I'm getting:
AdMob onRewardedAdFailedToLoad ca-app-pub-[our id] The ad request was successful, but no ad was returned due to lack of ad inventory( 3 )

I am wondering if the ads are not being filled because of the fact I am not using AndroidX?

I am using Google Play Services SDK 17.0.0 with the resolver through Unity 2017.4.28 (LTS)

Thank you for any help with this.

Hi David,

I am also having the same issue. We have the iron source installation building to device, but when AdMob requests the Ad it give the no inventory error.

AdMob:onInterstitialAdLoadFailed(errorCode:510, errorMessage:Load failed - The ad request was successful, but no ad was returned due to lack of ad inventory( 3 ))

It seem like there is something still wrong with the installation because we have another version of our app live in production and it is showing AdMob Ads.

I think I am using AndroidX so i don't think that is problem.

I am using...
Google Play Services SDK 18.1.1
AdMob Iron Source Adapter v4.3.6

Google Ad Lead / AdMob ( 3.18.3 )

Unity 2018.4.1 (LTS)

Hello David,

If you're using the Google Mobile Ads SDK, you’ll need to migrate your app and all of your dependencies to AndroidX in order to pick up play-services-ads 18.0.0 or any future versions. Based on the details shared, it looks like you are using Ironsource mediation and using the AdMob adapter. Since you're using AdMob Adapter which is currently maintained by the Ironsource team, it would be best that you reach out to that team for further assistance through the contact form available here. Upon making the changes suggested by that team, if you are having an issue loading the ads, feel free to reach out to us.

Thanks,
