UMP shows twice: manual & auto before ads. Consent already obtained. How to prevent duplication?

I am experiencing an issue with the User Messaging Platform (UMP) in my iOS app when integrating Google interstitial ads. Here’s a detailed description of the problem:

1. I manually present the UMP consent dialog to the user when the app launches.

2. The user provides consent, and I successfully obtain the UMP consent status.

3. Later, when attempting to display a Google interstitial ad, the SDK automatically presents the UMP consent dialog again, even though the consent status was already obtained earlier.

This results in a duplicate UMP consent prompt, which negatively impacts the user experience.

Here’s what I’ve confirmed:

• Consent status is already obtained (UMPConsentInformation.sharedInstance.consentStatus is not .unknown).

• Despite this, the Google SDK triggers the UMP consent dialog again before showing the interstitial ad.

It's unlikely that the sdk is doing this. You display consent form if consent is not already available, and before requesting ads, check if you have obtained consent from the user using UMPConsentInformation.sharedInstance.canRequestAds and if available, request ad, else, show consent form. It looks like somewhere in code you're showing consent form whenever an ad is requested irrespective of previous consent status
