Does anyone know who I can do other than sending them an e-mail
requesting re-instatement?

I received the following:"Your account has been disabled for invalid
activity or repeated policy violations. Some examples include
recurring manual clicks or impressions, violation of our content
policies which can be found here, robots, automated click and
impression generating tools, third-party services that generate clicks
or impressions such as pay-to-click, pay-to-surf, autosurf, and click-
exchange programs, or any deceptive software. "

I'm not sure what they think I did wrong and I have not received any
notification other than via the website message.

I hate someone who tries robots(automated click) in AdMob which is breaking the ADs network. It hurts all the publishers.

I think I might have found where I went wrong...
In the content guidelines it states,
Applications must also follow these additional guidelines:
- Ads should not be placed very close to or underneath buttons or
any other object which users may accidentally click while interacting
with your application.

I think I had a button too close to the ad. Go figure. Would have
been nice of them to tell me that instead of disabling the account
completely. I did have more than one app that served ads.

Well, I'll fix that and find another ad network.

Today I get:

"Your account has been disabled for invalid activity or repeated
policy violations. Some examples include recurring manual clicks or
impressions, violation of our content policies which can be found
here, robots, automated click and impression generating tools, third-
party services that generate clicks or impressions such as pay-to-
click, pay-to-surf, autosurf, and click-exchange programs, or any
deceptive software."

But I dont change anything on my code, and cant see why it happened...

By the way, is they will not activate my account, i go to an other
market/ and advert system...
I wrote thousands code, for games/live wallpapers, a lot of work, and
i get this!

Thanks, Google!

When I logon to AdMob yesterday, I got this message too.
But I nerver got any email or other response, and I never do anything.
In previous, my ecpm only 0.3-0.8$, and just earn 8-10$(best only
13-14) one day before 4/6.
Why my account disabled?

I dont know why...I sent to admob support a mail yesterday, but i cant
get any answer yet...
Anyway, I removed all of my projects from the market, until it will be
goood again.

If not, then I will go to Amazon market, and sold my projects there.

That's all

Same here. Account disabled, no reason, no answer to emails and no
violation of guidelines etc. - very dubious.
I have integrated mobclix now and going to publish on amazon - google
go home.

I just got my account disabled today. For no reason! Looks like Admob
and Google disable developer account when you start making some money.
Way to go before you revenue announcement next week!

Just take money back from your developer community.

Anyone can advise another platform for mobile Ads. I moving on, this is just BS.

Thanks.

I'm starting to wonder if there is any correlation to adding the new
sdk and accounts being disabled.

Don't Worry what people think.
They don't do it very often.

Is it possible a user had recurring manual clicks? in this case what
happens? The device id is blacklisted or the account is disabled?
If I repeatedly click on banners in angrybirds, they will disable
rovio account? :)

Another dev blocked in the mass deactivations on the 6th-ish reporting
in. I had also just switched to the new sdk a couple days before.

It's just frustrating. No warning, no specific reason given on why the
account was disabled, it's as always impossible to get in contact with
anyone through email. My apps are free with a paid version to remove
the ads, so I've just done a quick rush to switch ad providers and
that's that I guess.

I hope Google finds out all those accounts were disabled in error.

MoPub has a quick post about it here http://www.mopub.com/2011/04/07/shut-down-or-disabled-by-admob/
and also seem to be an awesome ad management system to switch to to
prevent anything similar happening in the future.

Hi,

my account is still live and working as usual. This seems a rare thing
these days... and I am still using the old AdMob SDK.

Here's my hypothesis:
a) Use old Admob SDK -> Everything fine.
b) Use new GoogleAdmob SDK -> Your account gets disabled.

Anyone giving a counter example?

I am afraid of switching.

Best regards
Johannes

Oh well, it's not that systematic. I was afraid too but I switched and everything is fine. (I have several apps totaling nearly a million requests a day). I have been making a decent living with admob for over a year now and I left my day job so it would have been a catastrophy to be locked out without reason.

Note that I disabled auto refresh on admob and set the adwhirl rotation at 60 seconds (default was 30). I did this because after the update ads seems to be changing far too often compared to my previous setup.

Also my usage isn't exclusive (I use iAds and MobFox with custom commands) so I was afraid that anything non-standard could cause an account to be blocked but it did not happen.

Remember you always hear about this from people for whom it doesn't work, all the others never complain.
