Can I set AdMob banner block in web-based app (WebView + HTML-pages in /assets) only with JS-code?

Hi all!
I have my first app, which is like web-based, Java is using for only creating "shell" of WebView and loading default URL.
The app is one HTML-page with several image files and sounds, locates in the /assets folder.
Please say can I use for AdMod banner (320x250px) only simple JS-code, without using SDK jars or other integration and code in Java?
May be somethig as this: <script
type="text/javascript" src="http://google.com/admob_api.js?type=banner&size=320x250&key=ca-app-pub-123456789123456789123456789"></script>

P.S.: It's my first application and I haven't a lot of expirience, sorry if my question is stupid :-)

I don't think that is a standard way to that. AdMob is design for a native app
