Hello,

When I try to upload gifs to my app campaign in google ads I found this rule:

wrong.jpg

But after uploading I received this message:

rejected.jpg

Along with: "Animated GIFs must be at least 5 fps (frames per second) to meet the quality requirements."

So, the confusion is: does it need to be slower than or at least 5 fps?

Also, I've been trying to make it exactly 5 fps by making every frame 200 milliseconds, but google ads still reject it.

Where am I missing?

I'm quite sure I'm uploading a gif 200x200 large with 5 fps and a loop inferior to 30 seconds.

And it keeps rejecting it.

Could anyone test it? just try to add gifs into an app campaign on google ads. Just follow these steps to get where I am:

1. create a new account on google ads.
2. click "Switch to expert mode"
3. choose "App promotion" "Android' and an app of yours, then click continue.
4. enter the necessary only data on the formulary and then press continue
5. Now on "Setup a Group", roll down the page and click on "+Images" and try to upload a gif.

6. If you succeed in the last step without errors, that can be seen before and after you click save, please tell me how.

Thanks, waiting.

Hi Melqui,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

Based on the information that you have provided to us. And having looked at the images that you attached.  I would advise you to try the following things.

1) The FPS needing to be 5 means that it should actually be lower than 5. As it states "The Animation needs to be slower than 5 fps". The fact that it is higher or right at it seems to be the initial cause of the issue.

2) I would advise you to actually lower the FPS to 4 or about 250ms for each frame just so as to give you some extra timing.

Thanks for the fast answer.

I'm gonna try with 4 fps, tho, in the second image I've sent, you can, if you follow the steps, put your mouse over that icon "?",
and see the exact text shown ->

"Animated GIFs must be at least 5 fps (frames per second) to meet the quality requirements."

Fix it.

Thanks.
