Hello,
On the AdMob marketing pitch site
under the heading "choose the right ad format", the following ad format
descriptor appears below (and separate from) the interstitial format: "AdMob’s
video ads bring rich brand experiences to your app, and the
flexible nature of the format allows users
to skip the video after 5
seconds" -- what section(s) and specific
classes of the Google Mobile Ads API is this video ad format descriptor referencing?
On
the same page and to the left of the "choose the right ad format" section, there is a carousel of example ad images. The ad format example image at 1-based index 5 in the
image carousel (see below) has the caption "In-App Video: TrueView Ad";
what is a TrueView ad and where is it documented in the Google Mobile Ads API? A cursory
search for Google TrueView suggests
that it is primarily a concern of advertisers on YouTube and similar
video networks, but is there a way to display TrueView video ads (or similar video ads featuring a run length and skip button) in an
Android app using the Google Mobile Ads SDK? If not, would another ads SDK, such as Doubleclick for Publishers, support ads using the TrueView video ad format? Basically I'm hoping to display the equivalent of a YouTube video pre-roll/post-roll ad at transition points in my app.
cheers,
Jeff Creswell
