after closing admob video interstitial ad it takes time to move to next screen in android 12

Hi there,
In our apps we integrated admob interstitals and implemented according to google admob example kotlin (GitHub). when static image ad shown as interstitial it work fine, but when video interstitials ad shown, on video complete, we click on close ad , after closing ad it takes some time on same screen than go to next screen intent. This is the violation of google Ads policy given by Google play console.  details attached recorded video and device model and version. recorded video link

I've tested our sample app for interstitial, and use our sample ad unit id for interstitial video (ca-app-pub-3940256099942544/8691691433), but we're unable to replicate the behavior in the screen recording you've provided. With that, can you provide us the ad unit id you're using via reply privately to author option? In addition to that, can you confirm if you're able to replicate this in a emulator?

yes, we replicate same behavior on emulator "pixel_3a  android Version API 31."

Hi,

Thank you for providing additional information on this. I've tested your application and was able to encounter the delayed in starting the new activity when closing the ads. Upon further checking, I've seen that you called the startActivity() inside the "onAdDismissedFullScreenContent()". This might be the reason for the delay in calling the new activity. I've tried to update your sample app project, and move the startActivity() before the FullScreenContentCallback. Kindly try it in your end if it fix the delay.

this scenario worked for activity transition but when we have full screen dialog with some feature like ad text and sticker, we dismiss the dialog same like you shared code snip, but in that case first dialog dismissed and screen shown for half second than ad shown. How we handle this scenario " Show ad at dialog dismiss".
