Hi, everyone.

I am running into an issue where GoogleNativeAds (SDK v7.34.0) served through MoPub (SDK v5.4.0) are not clickable. I have seen the following lines in log:

<Google> User interactions must be disabled on the asset view to enable click handling. userInteractionEnabled has been set to NO on <GADOAdChoicesView: 0x15bf58390; frame = (0 0; 0 0); userInteractionEnabled = NO; layer = <CALayer: 0x1c5820100>>
MOPUB: Successfully loaded native ad
<Google Adapter> - Unified native ad is missing one or more required assets, failing the request

I have verified that 'User Interaction Enabled' is disabled.

I am using the adapters and custom events from the following repo: https://github.com/mopub/mopub-ios-mediation/tree/master/AdMob

It would be awesome if you guys can point me in the right direction.

Regards,

Hi,

From what I understood and based from the Github link provided, you are using the MoPub SDK to display Ads with a MoPub Ad Unit Id that is mediated with AdMob. That said, please note that our team (Mobile Ads SDK Team) have no visibility over the MoPub implementation and we can only assist you on the Mobile Ads SDK implementation side.

Thus, I tested this out via the Mobile Ads SDK with an AdMob Ad Unit Id mediated with MoPub. Upon testing, I did see a "<Google> User interactions must be disabled on the asset view to enable click handling." log message when the Ad was loaded but the native Ad assets are still clickable on my end. The log message you've captured seem to confirm that userInteractionEnabled is set to NO. On the other hand, I didn't encounter the "<Google Adapter> - Unified native ad is missing one or more required assets, failing the request" log message on my end. In the Mobile Ads SDK implementation side, the native ad assets outlets should be linked properly.

Given this information, I know that you are integrating via MoPub SDK, however, could you test this modified sample app (with MoPub SDK 5.3 imported) that is using the Mobile Ads SDK (v7.34.0) and see if you encounter the same behavior? You just need to specify the AdMob Ad Unit Id in the ViewController.m file and specify your MoPub Ad Unit Id in the AppDelegate.m file, then build and run the app.

Thanks, Ivan for your response. I tried the modified sample app but now I don't see any ads. I will get back to you shortly after figuring this thing out.

Hi,

Thank you for trying out the modified sample app on your end. It's possible that there are no available ads on your end at the moment.

For us to test on our end, could you provide to us your AdMob Ad Unit Id and MoPub Ad Unit Id privately using Reply privately to author option?
