Can I use Admob on Virtual Reality based App ?

Hello, 

Is there any way to monetize virtual reality app? I mean Google cardboard based games, and apps. I don't know this approach is fruitful or not.

At the moment, we don't officially support the Cardboard SDK, but you've raised an interesting point. I'll communicate it to our product team.

If you're using cardboard in Unity3D, then get the unitypackage for admob, and the cardboard unitypackage, and then put your interstitial script container in the demoscene.

Google doesn't seem to have a good interaction example for cardboard yet though. Monetization via advertising clicks is a surprising thing to have overlooked in the model for an advertising company. I'm not sure if counting the user staring at the ad as a clickthrough really is within the terms of service, even if the ad is the most effective at that point. They will probably come up with something for us.

Hello,

I have also been searching for ways to monetize cardboard games, but haven't been able to find anything. Is there any way that it can be done (i.e any updates on the situations)

The Mobile Ads SDK still does not officially support Cardboard. There are a number of challenges to the integration -- for example, the normal clickthrough-and-open-a-browser behavior of ads doesn't work for a Cardboard app.

There are other ways to monetize Cardboard apps, though. In-app purchases, for example, would be one strategy.
