Hey guys, i was compiling just fine in unity 5.4, but then I updated my project to Unity 5.5.1f1.

Then I created an Empty project and import mobile Ads v3.20, ios sdk 7.17.0, when I try to compile in XCode i got the following message:

Unknown type name 'GADNativeCustomTemplateAd'; did you mean 'GADUNativeCustomTemplateAd'?

Does anyone have any Idea about what can it be?

Thanks.

Hi Felipe,

I can't seem to replicate the error you are receiving after using the same versions of Unity, Plugin and SDK version.
That said, try running pod repo update and pod install on the generated xCode project (Make sure to specify the deployment target in the Podfile). Make sure you also include the GoogleMobileAds.framework into your project and try to build again.

Hello, Is there a way I can use the SDK without need to install cocoapods ? I am on windows and I build from windows so it's not generating xcworkspace for me. Can I do it manually ? How can I do ? Please list out steps.

Hey guys, I solved the problem!

The problem was that I had to set "Enable modules" to Yes in build configurations after that I was able to compile in XCode without any error.

Thanks.
