Hello,

About 2 years ago I included the following to my AndroidManifast.xml file:

<meta-data
    android:name="com.google.android.gms.ads.DELAY_APP_MEASUREMENT_INIT"
    android:value="true"
/>

As far as I remember, this should delay the initialization of app measurement until the Google Mobile Ads SDK is explicitly called.

I tried finding any documentation about this manifest property, but cannot find anything about it. I therefore have two questions about this property:

1) Since I do not find any documentation about it, is this property still supported?
2) When will app measurement be initalized? A) at AdMob initialization with MobileAds.initialize(...), or B) the first time an ad is loaded with something like InterstitialAd.load(...)?

Kind regards,
Greb

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK Support team.

The DELAY_APP_MEASUREMENT_INIT feature was supported in the version 18.1.0. It is important to note that the Google Mobile Ads SDK no longer invokes app measurement, and version 18.1.0 is now deprecated.

Currently the GMA SDK supports only v24.x.x and v23.x.x.

It is always recommended to use the latest versions of the SDK. Kindly check our release notes and sample project for reference.

Thanks,
