Hello, my ads stopped serving in the app and after combing over everything checking if the implementation was an issue I saw this was a live problem. I can confirm that it works with test ads and nothing had changed in the code to produce this error. I didn't see any issue in the policy center and the ads on my other apps work fine so I was wondering what happened to the ad serving and if there is anything I could do to fix it. I tried contacting the support team but the page is broken, and says "Refresh this page and try again. Sorry, there was a problem with the contact form." I tried multiple browsers and devices last night and this morning so I'm coming here to see if anyone can help with my issue. I also received Code=1 "Request Error: No ad to show" during testing. I've had this app live for several years and need help fixing this. Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Michael here from Mobile Ads SDK support team. Thank you for reaching out to us.

Since you have mentioned that the test ads works on your end. It is safe to say that your implementation should be fine. However, there could be other several reasons why your ads won't show. You may refer here for more this information.

Moreover, kindly ensure that the following conditions are fulfilled in order to maximize the chances of receiving ads from the AdMob SDK:

Code error 1 usually occurs when the ad request was invalid; for instance, the ad unit ID was incorrect. For us to investigate further on our end, we would request for the following information.

  • app id
  • affected ad unit id/s

You may share the requested details privately via "Reply To Author" button.

Hello Michael,
Thank you for getting back to me. I've sent the id's privately through reply through author. Just posting what I wrote there my error is  GADErrorNoFill 1 from iOS documentation instead of Android's Error Code 1 : ERROR_CODE_INVALID_REQUEST. I can verify from admob dashboard that I'm indeed making request but almost no impressions.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

As per checking, it seems that you've a policy violation in your account. To maximize the chances of receiving ads from the AdMob SDK, kindly Resolve any policy violations in your AdMob account. In addition to that, I've also see that you have a payment on hold in the account, can you verify if you also see this in your account? If yes, you need to fully complete the setup of your AdMob account, particularly the billing and PIN verification sections. With that, we recommend reaching out to the Product Support Team as they are better equipped to handle this.

Hello,
Thanks for getting back to me. Are you sure you are reviewing the same account? Because I don't have any policy violations at all in the account and never received any notification stating as such. I also just received the my regular adsense payment today so I don't know anything about a payment hold. Would like to know more info on why the ads stopped serving and what I can do to fix it... thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I reviewed your account with the same app id you provided. As mentioned previously, to maximize the chances of receiving ads from the AdMob SDK, kindly Resolve any policy violations in your AdMob account. You may navigate to your policy center and you can see that you've 2 applications that have a violation. You may need to fix it first to ensure that you can receive ads. Also, we recommend reaching out to the Product Support Team as they are better equipped to handle this and this is already out of our scope.
