Whenever I load and request a rewarded video ad I get the error "Ad failed to load: no fill", this error is also happening on the MAD Reward Mediation test project.

I can still run my banner ads correctly. This only happens with the reward videos.
Ad unit ID (for reference): ca-app-pub-6938365043663383/5293407756

Hello there,

Do note that No fill error could sometimes simply mean that there are no available Ads from the server. Please make sure that the required SDKs and/or adapters for your mediated Ad networks are properly added to your project. Also, I tested your Ad Unit ID on my end and consistently get ErrorCode:0. Could you verify if the Ad Unit ID in question is active in your AdMob Dashboard?

Also, to help us investigate further, could you provide us the following:
  • Complete error/warning logs
  • Sample code snippet of your implementation and/or link to the test sample app you are using where problem is reproducible
Regards,
Ivan Bautista

I made a new ad unit to ensure that wasn't the problem, and I forgot to update the ID, so here's the new ID: ca-app-pub-6938365043663383/2800612952
This new ID is still consistently returning the same error.
The complete error/warning log is just what's pictured above (just that error whenever I load a rewarded ad).
I used this sample, which has often been linked to on this group.
The only ad network I am using is admob, so I assume I need no extra SDKs/adapters.

Hello there,

I tested your Ad Unit ID with the sample app and after resolving the outdated play services plugins, I was able to replicate the No fill error log. The log also showed "Fail to instantiate adapter com.google.DummyAdapter" warning log. These error logs are collectively thrown if you're loading a Rewarded Ad Unit that is not mediated to any third party Ad Network. Could you confirm if you are also getting the last error log? You may use the logcat tool to track the error logs from your device.

As per documentation, Rewarded ads are only available from supported third-party Ad Networks so make sure that your Rewarded Ad Unit is mediated to at least 1 third-party Ad Network to prevent the error. Also, make sure that all necessary SDK/s and adapter/s are properly added to your project.

i am getting the same issue of no fill i was following the instructions as per described in the firebase sdk

https://firebase.google.com/docs/admob/unity/rewarded-video

In according to that we dont need to ad mediators as admob is now also providing reward video ads
but i keep getting the no fill error on my android build

Hi Ahmad,

Being that this thread is over 2 months old, I'd suggest that you create a new thread with the details of your concern including all helpful information such as Ad unit IDs and complete logs. From there, we could continue with our investigation.
