Admob slow down game fps

Hi,
I build hybrid/cross-platform(ios and android) game using cordova version 5.1.1, I integrated admob(using cordova admobpro plugin) to show ads in my game. The issue is when ad loads my game performance degrades, it slow down the fps of ios and android build.

please provide solution for this issue.

Hi there,

Thanks for the details, but we only provide support for the Mobile Ads SDK.  Nevertheless, if you are specifically referring to the loading time (versus ad playback) that is degrading the performance, I'd suggest loading the ad (especially interstitial) in advance prior to displaying it.

Hi,
i have same problem
it's not related to time loading ... i load the banner on the game start loading ... but once the banner is shown ... the game go laggy and see drop in fsp
please help us

Hi Ketchap,

We don't develop or support any AdMob plugin for Cordova, so we wouldn't be able to investigate as we don't have visibility into the internal architecture.  I'd imagine the author of the plugin would be able to assist you in this matter.

Thank you for reaching out to us.

 

Kindly note that the AdMob SDK does require a certain amount of resources in order to display ads. Thus, processing time should be expected from it, particularly when fetching an ad. With that said, I would suggest loading ads during non-time-critical sections of the game (such as the menu) in order to lessen the visible impact on the game's performance.
