Hello everyone,

We are detecting a high number of onAdFailedToLoad on our project, about 10% of our Android requests fails because of that.
Some of the errors are:

Internal error (error code 0)
Network error (error code 2)
No ad config (error code 3)

What could be the reason behind this high rate of errors?

Thank you,

Hi Javier,

I’m experiencing a very similar issue in my Android app, with frequent onAdFailedToLoad errors and Unable to obtain a JavascriptEngine for RewardedAds.

Just wondering — were you able to identify the root cause or get this resolved eventually?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Alan,

We are still experiencing this issue, but we have identified some of the underlying causes and potential solutions.

On certain Android devices—especially those from some Chinese manufacturers—the default DNS configured on the device blocks ad-related requests, acting as a kind of built-in “privacy shield.” For many users, simply changing the DNS settings resolved the issue.

In addition, we have implemented a passback SSP so that if AdMob fails to load ads, alternatives such as IronSource or AppLovin are used instead.

I hope this information is helpful.
Best,
