Admob account balance

Dear Admob Support,

I had a game developed by an outsourcer and had asked them to link the ads to my google admob account. This was over a year ago. I subsequently stopped checking the account and pulled the game from the app store after  3-4 months. I have now republished it and was curious to see the old earnings (there was some balance in the account). However, the admob account shows no balance. 

Can you please help me understand where it went? Will future ad earnings continue to accumulate in the same admob account. Sorry Im a non-techie so do not know how to check code/integrations etc.
