My logs are filled with Admob logs that shows as an Error like the followign

Banner ad failed to load
com.google.android.gms.ads.nonagon.render.cp: No ads meet eCPM floor. <https://support.google.com/admob/answer/9905175#8>

I want to be able to disable these logs. How can I do that?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Mobile Ads SDK Support team.

Upon reviewing your concern, I understand that you are receiving the error "Request Error: No ad to show". Please go through these Common reasons for ads not showing and AdMob Error Codes & Logs the document for more details.

Could you try once by enabling the Ad Inspector ? And then share the export request and response file generated from the Ad Inspector to us along with app ID & ad unit ID  for further investigation.

Note:You can export the ad response only after you add your test device in the AdMob UI.

For detailed info refer to this AdInspector document.

Kindly provide the requested details via Reply to the author option.

All I want is to get rid of the logs. I know why the ad is not displayed but your logs make my app logs completely useless

Hi,

The logs you provided pertain to instances where ads failed to load, as indicated by the didFailToReceiveAdWithError delegate. Kindly remove the print statement from the error Delegate. To troubleshoot the failed case, please refer to the previous thread.

Hi Xavier,

These logs were intentionally added to make it easier for us to diagnose source of certain failures that are not as obvious as this eCPM floor one. In an upcoming version, these logs will be logged as "info" instead of "error".

Can you provide more details about why you think these logs "make my app logs completely useless"? I'd like to understand this better. Is it specifically because they are of type error, or something else? Android logcat is used frequently by the OS and many other libraries; my current understanding is this log isn't contributing significantly much to the noise. Note that you can also query logs using key-value search , e.g. using "-tag:Ads" if you want to filter out logs sent by the SDK.

Again this is not app specific these are your own logs that are messing up with the app logs. You should at least have a method to select which level of logging we want to see. All other services offers this

From your own changelog:
Consult Debug common error logging messages to interpret common ad loading failures. If you see a recurring error related to ad serving that’s not documented, share the stack trace with Mobile Ads SDK support.

I just want to be able to disable them from my release apk

Hi Xavier,

Yes, confirming this log was added by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. This is not the only log the SDK does though, so I'm trying to understand why this particular log is causing this feedback. Is this log that much more spammy relative to all other logs made by Android OS or other libraries? What harm is the log causing in your workflow? If it is a problem reading logs, does filtering them per https://developer.android.com/studio/debug/logcat#key-value-search address that use case?
