Unity Facebook adapter 3.2.0 not ready.

I am trying to implement facebook bidding in Admob Mediation using GoogleMobileAds-native.unitypackage.

However, when MobileAds.Initialize() is called, Applovin, Admob, and AdColony adapters are normally ready, but only the Facebook adapter is not ready.

Even when I check the status through TestSuite, only Facebook's Adapter Initialization Status is not Ready.

Is there any way to solve this??

Hi Syu,

I could see that you're using a quite old version of the mediation adapter. Could you kindly update to the latest version, then let me know how it goes?

If you update Facebook Mediation Adapter to the latest version (3.4.0), After the build, the app shuts down before it even runs.

When I check the log, 'Error Unity AndroidJavaException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Failed resolution of: Lcom/google/android/gms/ads/InterstitialAd;' An error occurs.

We are using Native Advertisement and Mediation integrated.

Because GoogleMobileAds-native.unitypackage uses com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:19.5.0
Adapter version compatible with this version was used.

Do you have any other workaround??

Hi Syu,

You may extract your Unity project into Android Studio project, then from there, you may update the gms:play-services-ads:19.5.0 to the latest version.

Hi

I extracted the Unity project to Android Studio Project and then updated the Mediation library related to gms:play-services-ads:19.5.0 in Project Structure > Suggestions to the latest version as well.

However, the same error as previously shared occurs and the app crashes while running.

Is there something I'm doing wrong or is there any other solution?

Thank you for providing the requested details.

I've tried to run your Unity project, and I'm getting a build error on my end (please see attached screenshot). On the other hand, I tried to run the exported project (Android Studio), and it crashes the moment it shows the "Show test suite" screen. That said, would it be possible for you to create a simple app, showing the behavior? You may use our sample app for this. Kindly send it again to mobileads...@gmail.com.

Unity Version : 2019.4.30f1
Android Studio Version : Arctic Fox (2020.3.1 Patch 2)
 * For detailed Android Studio version, please refer to the attached file.

Test Device 1
- Galaxy Note 9 (SM-N960N)

Thank you for the additional information. As we have seen this before with this exact same issue. We have recommended that user include the following item:
 
Copy the header file (GADUAdNetworkExtras.h)
 
This has been shown to help resolve the issue with adColony within the Facebook mediation.

Thanks for your reply.

Even after copying the GADUAdNetworkExtras.h header file, Facebook adapter initialization is still in Not Ready state.

Did copying this file solve this problem??

Yes, we have other publisher reported the same issue, and including the header file (GADUAdNetworkExtras.h) should fixed it. Could you please try removing the mediation adapter first, add it again (make sure to add the facebook adapter first before the others), then try to run the mediation suite?

Hi Syu,

Thank you for the response as well as the additional information. Having looked more into this, we can say that this is a known issue and that it is something that we are looking further into. If the previous suggestion did not work. What we are then asking people to try is to downgrade the SDK to a pre v20 version or in this case v6. This is something that we are hoping to have resolved soon.
