Dear Google Mobile Ads SDK Technical

Hello,
I posted my own iOS app "Ittoku" on the AppStore last week, but even after a week since it was posted, I cannot find my app.

Specifically, after going from the Google AdMob page to "New app settings" → "Select the app from the App Store", the app does not come up when I search for "Ittoku".

I would appreciate your help.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply the other day.

But I am still having problems. Google is not detecting my app-ads.txt file even though I have published it on my developer website.

I have checked it many times and my code snippet is correct.

What could be the problem?

Hi,

If you've recently added a developer website or updated your app listing in Google Play, allow up to 24 hours for AdMob to detect these changes. Kindly share us the app ID via "Reply to author" option for further investigation.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

Upon reviewing your AdMob account with the provided information, I found the below issues which must be fixed.

We haven't detected any ad requests with app-ads.txt implemented. Authorized Sellers for Apps, or app-ads.txt, is an IAB Tech Lab initiative that helps ensure your app ad inventory is only sold through channels you’ve identified as authorized.

Creating an app-ads.txt file gives you more control over who’s allowed to sell ads on your app and helps prevent counterfeit inventory from being presented to advertisers. To prevent a significant loss in ad revenue, you'll need to implement an app-ads.txt file. So Set up an app-ads.txt file for your app. While the app-ads.txt file is not strictly required for ads to show, it's still recommended to set it up to ensure optimal ad serving and protection against ad fraud and ensure that it can be crawled

If you've recently added a developer website or updated your app listing in the App store, allow up to 24 hours for AdMob to detect these changes.

It was discovered that your app status is in "Requires review" state. This indicates that your app has not yet been subject to the review process. To have it reviewed, it is necessary to establish a link between your app and the supported app store. You can link a supported store to your app within the All Apps or App settings pages and subsequently submit it for review. For more information, you can visit  Requires review

I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello,

Thank you very much for your prompt support.

I set the marketing URL according to the following in googleAdMob.

1. Create the app-ads.txt file according to the specifications provided by IAB Tech Lab.

2. Copy and paste the following code snippet into the app-ads.txt file.

3. google.com, pub-8070301112098492, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0

Place the created app-ads.txt in the root of the developer website and publish it (e.g. sampledomain.com/app-ads.txt).

So I did that.

This app is only available in Japan.

Below is the app I created, Ittoku.

App ID: ca-app-pub-8070301112098492~2855020477
URL: https://apps.apple.com/jp/app/ittoku/id6499520823
Developer website URL: https://ittokuapp.droppages.net/app-ads.txt

I would appreciate it if you could tell me if it's just taking time for Google to confirm, or if I'm doing something wrong.

I'm sorry.
Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for getting back to us.

According to your statement, you have completed 3 out of 5 steps for setting up an app-ads.txt file for your app. Since you have completed 3 steps, the next steps are as follows:

AdMob can take up to 24 hours to crawl and verify your app-ads.txt files. Wait at least 24 hours for the app-ads.txt status to update. If you've recently added a developer website or updated your app listing in Google Play, allow up to 24 hours for AdMob to detect these changes.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
