when the interstitial show to the users, they can skip this ads if they press back button without waiting the 5 seconds.
Is there a way to disable the back button until five seconds have ended.

Hi Rachid,

On an SDK's perspective, I'm afraid we currently do not have any API methods to disable the Back Button when an Interstitial is presented.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Hi Rachid,

On an SDK's perspective, the code snippet you provided does not seem to be anything out of the ordinary, so I do not expect it to cause any kind of issues. However, feel free to get back to us if you have any more issues in implementing the Mobile Ads SDK and we will be happy to assist you.

Hi Joshua,

I'm posting here because it's the same issue. Almost every other interstitial SDK block the onpressBack button al least till the interstitial has loaded and during it's forced view time. I find it hard to believe that Google can't do it for yours and also, this makes allowing forced view interstitials no sense.

Hello there,

Thanks for reaching our to us. If you are looking for an API method to disable the Back Button when an Interstitial is presented, we don't have such methods in our SDK at this moment. If your issue is something else, please elaborate with more details like a video recording or a quick explanation so that we can assist you.

Hi Deepika,

I'll try to rephrase. Why won't google implement disabling the back button during interstitial load or forced view time?

It makes the forced view interstitials (and the ones that take 1 or 2 seconds to load) admob or dfp serves useless in Android.

Hi Gonzalo,

The SDK does not support this or provide such an api to add a close button for an interstitial. This is added directly via the SDK when the interstitial ad is being presented and cannot be controlled in any way. Anyhow, I will share this as a feature request with the rest of the team but we cannot assure you on any ETA on when or if this could ever happen.

Hi Deepika,

Thanks for answering. I guess I was talking about your ad network and not the SDK provider/mediator.
